Lying in the state of Rajasthan, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a hotspot for Birdwatching and Bird Photography. The sanctuary is a beautiful amalgamation of dry land, large grass fields and wetlands. While the dry land and grass fields shelter several resident species  (Long-tailed shrike, Green footed pigeon, Indian Python, Magpie Robin), the wetland is the wintering ground for hundreds of waterfowls, raptors and other migratory birds coming all the way from Ladakh, Mongolia, North China, Eastern Europe, and Siberia.
