Description
Winter is the best time to see the glory of Indian Wildlife as that's the season when several migratory birds populate the wetlands of India, swathes of grass fields and thick foliage of forest covers become witness to the majestic turf of Bengal Tigers, mysterious lives of Leopards, the clever minds of Indian Wolves & Red Fox ruling various terrains and the wide variety of Macaques captivating people through their presence. Yes, Winter is indeed the best time to unleash your Great Indian Wilderness experience, however, its the state of Gujarat has grabbed worldwide attention for carrying a unique mammal base. In our upcoming 'Mammals of Gujarat Tour,' we are going to explore the dry deciduous forest of Gir National Park that has become the last bastion of Asiatic Lion. We are also going to drive through Little Rann of Kutch, where the long stretches of salty marshes meet the horizon. Being a humble abode to many rare species, the place will leave you spellbound with the agile and long sprints of Asiatic Wildass. Perched in the Bhel region of Saurashtra, Velavadar National Park rose to fame for harboring Blackbucks. Considered to be the most gorgeous amongst the antelope family, Blackbuck is endemic to India and Velavadar is one of its prime hotspots to sight them.
